Niceto Ihazintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elói Miranda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head. SALIMEN's Elói Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save SALIMEN from getting a goal against them. Niceto Ihazintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elói Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Elói Miranda was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Niceto Ihazintu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Niceto Ihazintu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Elói Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 18th minute. Niceto Ihazintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elói Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. If Niceto Ihazintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaby Milito struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Elói Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caatiba MZC. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Sabóia in the 36th minute of play. Cláudio Pimenta scored 4-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ergo Muro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Ulisses Sabóia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Ergo Muro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elói Miranda made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Niceto Ihazintu sent off a good shot on target. Nuno Vaz's late challenge caught a Caatiba MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. Nuno Vaz hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niceto Ihazintu to strike the kick off in the second half. When SALIMEN's Faustino Gerazan in 54 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ergo Muro guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Ergo Muro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elói Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 59th minute of the match. Niceto Ihazintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elói Miranda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Ihazintu came free, but Elói Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niceto Ihazintu struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Elói Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caatiba MZC. In the 66th minute, Enéas Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SALIMEN's Rony Eger was substituted for Saturnino Gartzea. SALIMEN's İldeniz Davutoğlu was substituted for Ulisses Sabóia. SALIMEN's Elói Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 68th minute of play. Delfim Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Niceto Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caatiba MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Ihazintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SALIMEN's Ronaldão Novaes was substituted for Enéas Pereira. Caatiba MZC made a substitution. Nuno Mattos replaced Niceto Ihazintu. In the 76th minute İldeniz Davutoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergo Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Mattos in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elói Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 87 minutes into the game, Rony Eger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Ergo Muro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind SALIMEN's goalkeeper Elói Miranda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A very nice done corner allowed Fernando Hierro to score against Elói Miranda in SALIMEN's goal. 6-3 after 92 minutes. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Caatiba MZC from getting a goal against them. Nuno Mattos scored 7-3 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elói Miranda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the referee blew the final whistle, Caatiba MZC could leave the field as winners, despite SALIMEN having more of the ball for most of the match.
