The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Andarilhos's Jairo Soeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicola Büchel. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Sérgio Gameiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksandar Haltinner in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Tomas Piperno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sérgio Gameiro. Andarilhos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Piperno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 16th minute Tomas Piperno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Gameiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Leopold Nymann hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fábio Lucena during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fábio Lucena kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Aleksandar Haltinner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zarco Menezes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Nicola Büchel made a huge save. A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jairo Soeiro hit a great ball. Tomas Piperno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Sérgio Gameiro made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Aleksandar Haltinner sent off a good shot on target. After 54 played minutes Andarilhos got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Lucena. After some careless play in the Andarilhos defense, Aleksandar Haltinner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Gameiro. The Andarilhos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio Gameiro should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, Jairo Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicola Büchel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Braga in the 64th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's goal looked a bit too open when Romão Neves came free, but Nicola Büchel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franz-Josef Jauch during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Franz-Josef Jauch got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Soeiro in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicola Büchel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sérgio Gameiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aleksandar Haltinner went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Pedro Sampaio's late challenge caught a ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Sampaio helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Sampaio hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Sérgio Gameiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Dankowski in the 83rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zarco Menezes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicola Büchel was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Zarco Menezes put it in 4-4 from a short distance just to the right of Nicola Büchel. Andarilhos's Jarbas Estrela suffered a sore thigh after 90 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Andarilhos's João Trindade was substituted for Jarbas Estrela. In the 93rd minute, Viriato Seabra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
