A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Westbam's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Carneiro came free, but Tony Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Fernando Pras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klement Pawlak. In the 16th minute, Tamás Túri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Arruda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tony Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Marinho in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Westbam's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Miranda came free, but Tony Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palestra do Interior's Fernando Pras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofil Skaradowski in the 27th minute of play. Fernando Pras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Klement Pawlak in the 31st minute. Tony Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Westbam's Jacek Lepucki seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jacek Lepucki the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Westbam protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jacek Lepucki had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 33rd minute, one of Westbam:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Westbam. Westbam:s Tony Arruda showed great skill when he stopped Zé Rafael:s penalty. 38 minutes into the match, Westbam's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Pirani came free, but Tony Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Nelsinho Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Tiradet Do Bonde. Tiradet Do Bonde hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Palestra do Interior's Tamás Túri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tony Arruda. Tony Arruda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Palestra do Interior's Nelsinho Marinho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tony Arruda. That made the score 0-3 after 58 minutes of play. When Palestra do Interior's Ronaldo Pirani in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Westbam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Gaszynski didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Westbam getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Bartosz Mochowak hit a great ball. Tony Arruda made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Ronaldo Pirani sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Miranda in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony Arruda saved Westbam from getting behind. Ronaldo Pirani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Tony Arruda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 80th minute Nelsinho Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Westbam's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Marinho came free, but Tony Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Westbam's goalkeeper Tony Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Pirani.
