An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Piczak in the 24th minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 3City United's Wladyslaw Dudzik got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Leon Piczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Raphael de Medeiros fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vasco FC's protests and gave Raphael de Medeiros a yellow card for diving instead. Raphael de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Gil Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Raphael de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

3City United's Asgar Blennild played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Veloso in the 51st minute of play. Wladyslaw Dudzik was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 56 minutes, Wladyslaw Dudzik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 3City United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wladyslaw Dudzik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, 3City United's Patryk Waldoch got a free kick in the 67th minute. Wladyslaw Dudzik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Rezende having to interfere. Wladyslaw Dudzik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Leopoldo Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When 3City United's Wladyslaw Dudzik in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
