The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eurico Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júnior Toscano in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Cearense in the 6th minute of play forced Achtung Babies's goalkeeper Eurico Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Héctor Mainer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BOA VISTA E.C.'s Célio Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 11th minute, Héctor Mainer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Célio Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Júnior Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. BOA VISTA E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Júnior Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eurico Velloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Achtung Babies's Eurico Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Achtung Babies from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Héctor Mainer to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Júnior Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Cauan Guedes's late challenge caught a Achtung Babies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauan Guedes helped the player get up and apologised. Cauan Guedes hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
