In the 2nd minute, Eustacio Hitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leandro Ignazio hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the game, one of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Master Champion's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iuri Negri in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match, Matías Barreto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ramon Calvino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Apolo Richie kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Barbosa came free, but Ramon Calvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Barreto in the 24th minute of play forced NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalkeeper Ramon Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Gerson Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Calvino came out of the goal and Gerson Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Master Champion were furious when Enéas Netto was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 31st minute, Enéas Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Master Champion's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Horado came free, but Cauan Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernan Hug hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Matías Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Barbosa in the 43rd minute of play forced NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalkeeper Ramon Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wesley Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Apolo Richie made the kick off in the second half. César Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Horado in the 56th minute of play forced Master Champion's goalkeeper Cauan Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th play minute Apolo Richie came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cauan Medeiros. 1-1. Ramon Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Barreto in the 66th minute of the match. When Matías Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Master Champion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matías Barreto couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Horado in the 70th minute of play forced Master Champion's goalkeeper Cauan Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Fernan Hug got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Cauan Medeiros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Apolo Richie went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 82 minutes into the match, Master Champion's goalkeeper Cauan Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejo Horado. Cauan Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Horado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cauan Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Hug in the 96th minute of play. Although Master Champion had been in control for most of the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS still came away with the win.
