Birger Skarkman hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Adrianinho Ortiz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nils-Åke Kristiansson, 2-0. Fernandinho Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Rosendal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 28 minutes, Måns Nordkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vejbystrand's supporters crossed their fingers, but Måns Nordkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Caatiba MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Teles to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Laerte da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Åke Kristiansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 40th minute Marc Rosendal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Gabriel Veloso made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Veloso in the 52nd minute of play forced Vejbystrand's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Kristiansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils-Åke Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Quirino in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Rodolfo Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Åke Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Brasil scored 4-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils-Åke Kristiansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nils-Åke Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrianinho Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Adrianinho Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Åke Kristiansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marc Rosendal got free with Fernandinho Trevisan in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, Marc Rosendal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernandinho Trevisan. Caatiba MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marc Rosendal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. After having played for 87 minutes, Marc Rosendal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Caatiba MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caatiba MZC fully deserved thier win.
