Weterio Caceo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, José Paulo Xavier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Rafael Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Arruda couldn't finish the play. In the 14th match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Arruda to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's José Paulo Xavier got control of the ball when Weterio Caceo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Donatello's late challenge caught a Atlético Bucaramanga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Donatello helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Atlético Bucaramanga booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Nicolas França cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hitz Urdiales was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kauan Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Hitz Urdiales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ booed when Atlético Bucaramanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mambru Bolaño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Weterio Caceo in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Paulo Xavier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nicolas França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Weterio Caceo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes, Weterio Caceo made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's José Paulo Xavier tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg José Paulo Xavier managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Atlético Bucaramanga's Weterio Caceo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas França in the 41st minute of play forced Atlético Bucaramanga's goalkeeper Hitz Urdiales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Weterio Caceo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. José Paulo Xavier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hitz Urdiales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas França in the 46th minute of play. A collision led to Atlético Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tano Talaga hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Weterio Caceo was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Nicolas França slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hitz Urdiales. That made the score 2-2 after 58 minutes of play. In the 64th minute, Nicolas França ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hitz Urdiales was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. José Paulo Xavier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Weterio Caceo's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Perivaldo Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Atlético Bucaramanga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Sanez to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Nicolas França had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hitz Urdiales. Atlético Bucaramanga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolas França was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Ellande Aguinagalde's late challenge caught a Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hitz Urdiales was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alberto Donatello. In the 78th minute, Weterio Caceo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Paulo Xavier was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Hitz Urdiales made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Kauan Arósio sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Tadeu Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Weterio Caceo in the 86th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper José Paulo Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88th play minutes Weterio Caceo shot 4-4, a short shot which went by José Paulo Xavier and just under the crossbar into goal. José Paulo Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Weterio Caceo in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Weterio Caceo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Paulo Xavier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Weterio Caceo went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-4 was the resulting score.
