When Ovidio Reynardo fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forest Green's protests and gave Ovidio Reynardo a yellow card for diving instead. Ovidio Reynardo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Forest Green's Daniil Tanalidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Espiridion in the 9th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Perivaldo Paiva in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniil Tanalidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Espiridion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniil Tanalidis was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Leonardo de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Perivaldo Paiva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Daniil Tanalidis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 25 minutes, Nicolas Espiridion made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Forest Green's Daniil Tanalidis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Nicolas Espiridion dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Daniil Tanalidis, 3-0. Valdomiro Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Bergfelt in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Jem Jajecznica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45thth minute of the game Nicolas Espiridion who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Forest Green's Daniil Tanalidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Forest Green getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Peter Lundström hit a great ball. Nicolas Espiridion kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolas Espiridion was the one to do the kick off. Nicolas Espiridion took the ball and in the 50 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniil Tanalidis. Daniil Tanalidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Nicolas Espiridion sped through Forest Green's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daniil Tanalidis. After having played for 61 minutes, Perivaldo Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montalcino SE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perivaldo Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Montalcino SE fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Montalcino SE's Nicolas Espiridion looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Montalcino SE's Modesto Atarratze was substituted for Perivaldo Paiva. When Jem Jajecznica fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forest Green's protests and gave Jem Jajecznica a yellow card for diving instead. Montalcino SE's Genílson Diniz was substituted for Almir Valadares. The supporters of Montalcino SE booed when Forest Green was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jem Jajecznica didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Montalcino SE got a corner. Forest Green's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonardo de Godoi ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dino Nicolini got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniil Tanalidis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 75 minutes into the match, Montalcino SE's Nicolas Espiridion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniil Tanalidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Forest Green's zone, Modesto Atarratze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniil Tanalidis came out of the goal and Modesto Atarratze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniil Tanalidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Modesto Atarratze's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After taking down the ball on Montalcino SE's corner Leonardo de Godoi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Daniil Tanalidis quite easily take care of the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Montalcino SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Montalcino SE's Dino Nicolini got a free kick in the 90th minute. Genílson Diniz's late challenge caught a Forest Green's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genílson Diniz helped the player get up and apologised. Genílson Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Forest Green players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Montalcino SE.
