Ted Almstedt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Augusto Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Rákóczifalva SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vadim Spãtaru to maneuver through the defense. Ted Almstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Pedro Augusto Salgado made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ted Almstedt got free with Pedro Augusto Salgado in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Császár in the 26th minute of play. The wind increased when Harry Boumans made the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Rákóczifalva SE's Nils-Erik Åhlberg threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Szabolcs Hollósi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nils-Erik Åhlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrián Császár, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Harry Boumans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Augusto Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Eriksson in the 86th minute of play forced Rákóczifalva SE's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Augusto Salgado came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Runa United's Harry Boumans. But to his dismay, Harry Boumans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. There was no doubt that Runa United were the better team. Runa United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
