The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rômulo Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flaco López in the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to MUSHIBA FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Arnaldo Mattos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Hermes in the 5th minute of play forced MUSHIBA FC's goalkeeper Rômulo Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Tiaguinho Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. MUSHIBA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Võ Gozali breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiaguinho Luz in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Võ Gozali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiaguinho Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Võ Gozali made a huge save. Anselmo Neiva hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as MUSHIBA FC's Tiaguinho Luz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Võ Gozali. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. JFSP's Võ Gozali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Baptista in the 30th minute of play. Rômulo Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flaco López's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Võ Gozali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Baptista in the 39th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luciano Baptista to strike the kick off in the second half. JFSP's Denílson Massa was substituted for Pedro Paulo Peixoto. Hermínio Meirelles made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MUSHIBA FC's Juan de Almeida. MUSHIBA FC made a substitution. Régis Mineiro replaced Raí Nogueira. MUSHIBA FC's Juan de Almeida quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hermínio Meirelles, made in the 67th minute of the game. If Régis Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 minutes of play, MUSHIBA FC's Tiaguinho Luz made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Võ Gozali was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute, Tiaguinho Luz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnaldo Mattos hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MUSHIBA FC fully deserved thier win.
