Toninho Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roger Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. DENVER™'s Toninho Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wei Guang Xing in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to DENVER™ getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Luís Eduardo Araújo hit a great ball. Radomir Narbut, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After the first half MONTANHA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guilherme Abud to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radomir Narbut got free with Toninho Pinheiro in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, MONTANHA's Radomir Narbut dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 69th minute, Luís Eduardo Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toninho Pinheiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radomir Narbut in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, DENVER™'s Toninho Pinheiro got control of the ball when Radomir Narbut tried to sneak it across the goal line. Czeslaw Walec took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toninho Pinheiro. Toninho Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. A hard shot 85 in the game by Wei Guang Xing from a close distance when the talented Toninho Pinheiro managed to make a qualified save. DENVER™'s players were relieved. In the 87th match minute, DENVER™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Abud to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the DENVER™ defense, Radomir Narbut kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toninho Pinheiro. The DENVER™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toninho Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. Benedito Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Toninho Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MONTANHA. When the match was over MONTANHA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DENVER™ throughout the match.
