After 18 minutes, Aníbal Barca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quebrachitos FC and the Heavy Balls FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute of the match Pontus Wennerquist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steve Kerr skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erubiel Lizar in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven-Erik Ivarsson saved Heavy Balls FC from getting behind. In the 28th minute, Erubiel Lizar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven-Erik Ivarsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Henrik Stenqvist hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the game, Quebrachitos FC's Aníbal Barca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven-Erik Ivarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 45th minute, Heavy Balls FC's Henrik Stenqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aníbal Barca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Quebrachitos FC's Jorge Arce managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nils-Erik Juhlin in the 50 minute of the game. Jorge Arce hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Heavy Balls FC's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Ivarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erubiel Lizar. 56 minutes into the match, Heavy Balls FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Lizar came free, but Sven-Erik Ivarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes Heavy Balls FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aníbal Barca who took care of the corner kick. With an all-out effort, Quebrachitos FC's Sven-Erik Ivarsson threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Erubiel Lizar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 62 minutes into the game, Erubiel Lizar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Sven-Erik Ivarsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 67 minutes into the game, Heavy Balls FC's Paşa Bollen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steve Kerr made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. 70 minutes into the match, Quebrachitos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Fanström came free, but Steve Kerr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Paşa Bollen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quebrachitos FC's Steve Kerr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Heavy Balls FC's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Ivarsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Quebrachitos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aníbal Barca in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Erubiel Lizar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Erik Ivarsson. Heavy Balls FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erubiel Lizar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-7. Sven-Erik Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Lizar in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Quebrachitos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liam Neeson to maneuver through the defense. Erubiel Lizar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven-Erik Ivarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Erubiel Lizar struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Sven-Erik Ivarsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quebrachitos FC.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Quebrachitos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
