After a defensive mix-up in ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's zone, Jan-Ove Asmundsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wolfgang Domuzeti came out of the goal and Jan-Ove Asmundsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aleksandar Haltinner in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Sundin saved Houston FF from getting behind. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gabriel Sundin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gabriel Sundin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Possner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Sundin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aleksandar Haltinner went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Gabriel Sundin stood somewhat misplaced when Julian Possner came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 39 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
