Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marian Banas in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Johan Granberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Marian Banas came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the The Nerd Herd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Banas couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute Marian Banas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Granberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marian Banas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Johan Granberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Karl-Johan Granberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Banas in the 45th minute of play. After the first half The Nerd Herd were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
After 54 played minutes Forever Råsunda AIK got a freekick which was hit by Jan Albom. With a little luck, Forever Råsunda AIK's Karl-Johan Granberg got control of the ball when Jim-André Danielsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Forever Råsunda AIK's Mikael Hultman got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl-Johan Granberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Banas, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Marian Banas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Johan Granberg having to interfere. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Forever Råsunda AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Granberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Nerd Herd's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
