In the 8th minute Adrian Pettersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenílson Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Mattias Pihlgren made a huge save. Adrian Pettersson kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a little luck, Oldham Athletic's Mattias Pihlgren got control of the ball when Lenílson Palmeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Francisco Passos came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Oldham Athletic's Adrian Pettersson. But to his dismay, Adrian Pettersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When %teams%'s Lenílson Palmeira was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 20 minutes into the game. Mattias Pihlgren was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Pettersson in the 25th minute of play forced Febre Amarela's goalkeeper João Francisco Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goalkeeper Mattias Pihlgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lenílson Palmeira. João Francisco Passos came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Oldham Athletic's Adrian Pettersson. But to his dismay, Adrian Pettersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Dag Beneth charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dag Beneth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dag Beneth hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Lenílson Palmeira in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mattias Pihlgren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 34 minutes into the match, Febre Amarela's goal looked a bit too open when Dag Beneth came free, but João Francisco Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes, Sven-Åke Smefeldt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oldham Athletic and the Febre Amarela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sven-Åke Smefeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Mattias Pihlgren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Fernando Massa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 37 minute of play. Lenílson Palmeira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Mattias Pihlgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 42 minutes into the match, Febre Amarela's goal looked a bit too open when Dag Beneth came free, but João Francisco Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A well placed Lenílson Palmeira short distance shot in the 47th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dag Beneth to make the kick off. João Francisco Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Beneth, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Oldham Athletic's Adrian Pettersson in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Febre Amarela's goalie prevented a goal. After 58th play minutes Adrian Pettersson shot 3-3, a short shot which went by João Francisco Passos and just under the crossbar into goal. If Lenílson Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mattias Pihlgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Lenílson Palmeira came free, but Mattias Pihlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiaguinho Ramos hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Dag Beneth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but João Francisco Passos made a huge save. João Francisco Passos came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Oldham Athletic's Dag Beneth. But to his dismay, Dag Beneth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. João Francisco Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Tillman in the 80th minute of the match. João Francisco Passos came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Oldham Athletic's Adrian Pettersson. But to his dismay, Adrian Pettersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-6. Adrian Pettersson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lenílson Palmeira in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mattias Pihlgren saved Oldham Athletic from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lenílson Palmeira in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mattias Pihlgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 97 minutes of play, Oldham Athletic's Thomas Tillman made it 3-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Francisco Passos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Febre Amarela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Oldham Athletic were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
