The ball had pretty good speed, but Murillo Peixoto firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Delfim Varela fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mundial EC's protests and gave Delfim Varela a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Atlético de Blumenau booed when Mundial EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute Amedeo Mameli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Amedeo Mameli notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mundial EC's Raphael Penha. Raphael Penha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murillo Peixoto made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Nils Bengtsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute, Şehzade Tecer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mundial EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Şehzade Tecer charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Şehzade Tecer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Şehzade Tecer kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Raphael Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Mameli in the 24th minute of the match. Atlético de Blumenau's Murillo Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Bengtsson in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Bengtsson got free with Murillo Peixoto in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Bengtsson in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murillo Peixoto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Amedeo Mameli came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Atlético de Blumenau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Mameli couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Varela in the 39th minute of play forced Atlético de Blumenau's goalkeeper Murillo Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Belmiro Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45thth minute of the game Nils Bengtsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético de Blumenau's Murillo Peixoto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nils Bengtsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Raphael Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Turban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murillo Peixoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils Bengtsson's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Nils Bengtsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 played minutes Atlético de Blumenau got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Nazario. A hard shot 61 in the game by Amedeo Mameli from a close distance when the talented Raphael Penha managed to make a qualified save. Mundial EC's players were relieved. Delfim Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Peixoto having to interfere. It was a well-played corner which Gecel Silva managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After having played for 68 minutes, Tomás Turban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de Blumenau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Turban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 played minutes Mundial EC got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Pontes. In the 75th minute, Atahan Perk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mundial EC's Alessandro de Sousa was substituted for Léo Chaves. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amedeo Mameli got free with Raphael Penha in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raphael Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Turban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Amedeo Mameli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raphael Penha. Amedeo Mameli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 86 minutes into the game, Amedeo Mameli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Raphael Penha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Belmiro Pontes hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 91 played minutes Mundial EC got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Pontes. If Amedeo Mameli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raphael Penha made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Amedeo Mameli sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute, one of Mundial EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mundial EC. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Atlético de Blumenau walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
