Joélson Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Melo having to interfere. After 8 minutes A.A. Francana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joélson Amaral who took care of the corner kick. After 15 played minutes A.A. Francana got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Bettencourt. The audience was convinced that Aykut Canel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felix Donciu was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.A. Francana's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joélson Amaral was slow to take the kick. During this time Werneck FC - DMZ's players had a chance to rest. Joélson Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Renan Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murillo Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Aykut Canel came free, but Felix Donciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Donciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aykut Canel, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 48th minute, Charlie Boström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.A. Francana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Werneck FC - DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. A.A. Francana were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charlie Boström was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Aykut Canel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Felix Donciu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Gabriel da Fonseca in the 63rd minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Renan Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Werneck FC - DMZ's Felix Donciu got control of the ball when Aykut Canel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Werneck FC - DMZ's Felix Donciu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Werneck FC - DMZ from getting a goal against them. Francana's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Francana supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing A.A. Francana would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
