After a rather tough play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Dobromir Zagrodny got a free kick in the 9th minute. Manoel Neuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Gamboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Omar Volio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xu Li Sang. In the 24th minute Xu Li Sang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Volio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jovens Democratas MZC's Manoel Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oldemar Masis in the 33rd minute of play. Lyubcho Mangalski scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manoel Neuer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laerte Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Dobromir Zagrodny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Jovens Democratas MZC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CS La Libertad were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elias Carballo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Lúcio Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Volio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Volio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Cruz in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Dobromir Zagrodny came free, but Omar Volio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CS La Libertad made a substitution. Jason Carrillo replaced Evaristo Ulate. After 62 minutes CS La Libertad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was André Luiz Medeiros who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that André Luiz Medeiros got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Omar Volio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dobromir Zagrodny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Efraim Bombardier replaced Adilson Loyola. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when CS La Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omar Volio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xu Li Sang, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute of the match Jovens Democratas MZC got a corner. CS La Libertad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. André Luiz Medeiros ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. André Luiz Medeiros hit a great ball.
