An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Rutkowski in the 12th minute of play forced Internacional Pechofrío's goalkeeper Ted Lasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Bannister in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugeniusz Polkoski saved Działki Leśne Gdynia from getting behind. Eugeniusz Polkoski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Bannister went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Roger Bannister scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugeniusz Polkoski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Internacional Pechofrío's zone, Witold Trynda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ted Lasso came out of the goal and Witold Trynda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Roger Bannister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eugeniusz Polkoski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Bannister in the 31st minute of play. After 33 minutes, Rómulo Gallegos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Internacional Pechofrío and the Działki Leśne Gdynia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Działki Leśne Gdynia booed when Internacional Pechofrío was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marko Cosio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the game Witold Trynda kicked a great long shot which passed Ted Lasso straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-2. One couldn't see Witold Trynda behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. In the 41st minute Roger Bannister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Polkoski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Lasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walery Rudy in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Bannister was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th match minute, Internacional Pechofrío was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Esparza to maneuver through the defense. After 91 minutes of play, Działki Leśne Gdynia's Walery Rudy made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ted Lasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Lucjan Marciewicz in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Internacional Pechofrío's Furtado Valdueza.
