Spectators: 7716 (Terracing: 5788, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Elivélton Albuquerque took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute Gusmão Azeredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gusmão Azeredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edson Nascimento in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Lira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Gusmão Azeredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jereba 4EVER's Donato Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Caetano in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Elivélton Albuquerque fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of João Carvalhais, passed just outside the right post. Donato Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Caetano in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Nascimento in the 24th minute of play forced Jereba 4EVER's goalkeeper Donato Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Jereba 4EVER got a corner. Gremio Viana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Paulo Castro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Higino Queirós thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished João Carvalhais, a very annoying self made goal in the 32nd minute which led to 1-0. The corner led to Jereba 4EVER's Dino de Toledo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Elivélton Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. João Carvalhais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Narciso Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edson Nascimento in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Lira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gusmão Azeredo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gremio Viana's João Carvalhais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Albuquerque in the 54th minute of play. João Carvalhais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Brodel during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. João Carvalhais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Albuquerque in the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Albuquerque came free, but João Carvalhais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Jereba 4EVER's Zé Paulo Castro to fire away a dangerous shot which João Carvalhais despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
