In the 19th minute, Manfredo Breckenfeld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eevald Kadarpik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Kajar Heinloo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cléber Pinho. Clube do Remo MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kajar Heinloo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Eevald Kadarpik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Urmet Eenmaa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vormsi Vald's supporters rose to their feet, but Urmet Eenmaa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléber Pinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Vormsi Vald's Urmet Eenmaa got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Eevald Kadarpik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Urmet Eenmaa's late challenge caught a Clube do Remo MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urmet Eenmaa helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half Clube do Remo MZ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urmet Eenmaa to make the kick off. Eevald Kadarpik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Velasco in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Clube do Remo MZ's Pedro Augusto Tepedino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eevald Kadarpik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Eevald Kadarpik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Sena in the 61st minute of the match. João Sena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eevald Kadarpik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfredo Breckenfeld got free with Eevald Kadarpik in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Vahur Muruaas sped through Clube do Remo MZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cléber Pinho. The supporters of Vormsi Vald booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Augusto Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube do Remo MZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Heiki Krooli was slow to take the kick. During this time Vormsi Vald's players had a chance to rest. Vormsi Vald's Heiki Krooli was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cléber Pinho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vormsi Vald's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. The Vormsi Vald fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Clube do Remo MZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
