Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Oden Vandamme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thomas Ravelli. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's goal looked a bit too open when Oden Vandamme came free, but Thomas Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's Boran Akdiken made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fábio Ramalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the game, Anastasio Lekubegi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Juventus Tatuquara's Edinho Fonseca quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thomas Ravelli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Germano Veiga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 31 minute of play. Juventus Tatuquara's Fábio Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boran Akdiken in the 33rd minute of play. Fábio Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yavuz Bülent İlkim in the 34th minute of the match. Thomas Ravelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germano Veiga in the 36th minute. The supporters of S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r booed when Juventus Tatuquara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcu Ianculescu to make the kick off.
