Jack Saunders was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Virgil Cumpan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Ellis kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Cornel Voinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Hopton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jack Saunders got free with Edgar Vrânceanu in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ionuț Petrea made a kick off. With a little luck, Gone With the Win's Malcolm Hopton got control of the ball when Virgil Cumpan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horea Neguțu struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Malcolm Hopton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely. Horea Neguțu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Malcolm Hopton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edgar Vrânceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Saunders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Ellis charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Ellis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Gone With the Win:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely:s goal. The goalkeeper, Malcolm Hopton, was totally fooled by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Cornel Voinescu, who 65 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 69th minute, John Paul Metcalfe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Gone With the Win's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Ghiondea came free, but Malcolm Hopton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Horea Neguțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Horea Neguțu got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gone With the Win's Malcolm Hopton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Gone With the Win from getting a goal against them. Ionuț Petrea let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 87th minute shot 1-4 at rihgt post. In the 90th minute Ionuț Petrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Hopton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Malcolm Hopton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ionuț Petrea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 93 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
