Cristi Miulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, one of Sandinense ADF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sandinense ADF. Sandinense ADF's Yuri Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Spânu in the 17th minute of play. Egídio Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Dragoş Maruță made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Miulescu in the 32nd minute of play forced Sandinense ADF's goalkeeper Yuri Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Egídio Vale fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sandinense ADF's protests and gave Egídio Vale a yellow card for diving instead. 37 minutes into the match, Sandinense ADF's goal looked a bit too open when Stelian Barascu came free, but Yuri Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristi Miulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half FC Alinborger Galați were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Yuri Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Miulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pompiliu Ciomag's late challenge caught a Sandinense ADF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pompiliu Ciomag helped the player get up and apologised. FC Alinborger Galați's Dragoş Maruță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Penha in the 58th minute of play. Cristi Miulescu had several of the Sandinense ADF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 68 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Yuri Terra as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, Sandinense ADF's Yuri Terra got control of the ball when Stelian Barascu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Miulescu in the 77th minute of play forced Sandinense ADF's goalkeeper Yuri Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, one of Sandinense ADF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sandinense ADF. After having played for 87 minutes, Cristi Miulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Alinborger Galați's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristi Miulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Spânu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yuri Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Miulescu in the 93rd minute of play. If Cristi Miulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sandinense ADF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Alinborger Galați were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
