After 9 minutes of play, Astillero del Guayas's Zarando Eguizabal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jano Mazza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bohórquez Doblas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gracie Barra's Samuca Rosado in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astillero del Guayas's goalie prevented a goal. The Astillero del Guayas fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Astillero del Guayas's Zarando Eguizabal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Astillero del Guayas's Bohórquez Doblas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Rosado in the 25th minute of play. When Zarando Eguizabal fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astillero del Guayas's protests and gave Zarando Eguizabal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gracie Barra booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zarando Eguizabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bohórquez Doblas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Rosado in the 27th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Dani Galiana notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Gracie Barra's Jano Mazza. Jano Mazza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bohórquez Doblas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tales Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paredes Campderros in the 43rd minute of play forced Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Jano Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jano Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dani Galiana in the 46th minute of the match. Jano Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarando Eguizabal in the 48th minute of play. The Gracie Barra players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Astillero del Guayas were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zarando Eguizabal to strike the kick off in the second half. Jano Mazza came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Astillero del Guayas's Paredes Campderros. But to his dismay, Paredes Campderros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 69 minutes into the game, Tales Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Bohórquez Doblas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Zarando Eguizabal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jano Mazza was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiãozinho Machado in the 74th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Bohórquez Doblas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Jano Mazza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zarando Eguizabal. 79 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Soeiro came free, but Bohórquez Doblas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Gracie Barra got a freekick which was hit by Celso Soeiro. After a rather tough play, Gracie Barra's Diego Queirós got a free kick in the 84th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Simões came free, but Bohórquez Doblas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Astillero del Guayas's Bohórquez Doblas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Rosado in the 91st minute of play. Bohórquez Doblas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Rosado in the 93rd minute of play. Hugo Salz's late challenge caught a Gracie Barra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Salz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Hugo Salz got a free kick in the 94th minute. 97 minutes in the game, Zarando Eguizabal fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jano Mazza having to interfere. The Astillero del Guayas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
