The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Cesinha Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Are saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 played minutes Bizard FC got a freekick which was hit by Jude Belling. Robert Oppenheimer's late challenge caught a Bizard FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Oppenheimer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Dundee's Robert Oppenheimer got a free kick in the 6th minute. A collision led to Bizard FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Victor Garcia hit a great ball. Olavi Ellermaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 13 minutes, Márcio Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bizard FC and the FC Dundee players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bizard FC's Márcio Barbosa got a free kick in the 13th minute. Sten Vonk hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Dundee's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jude Belling was slow to take the kick. During this time Bizard FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Isaltino Seco got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 19 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Dundee getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Martin Mendoza hit a great ball. FC Dundee's Tom Are proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save FC Dundee from getting a goal against them. José Augusto Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Vonk in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's goalkeeper Tom Are had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luisão Amorim. Tom Are made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha Dionísio in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Toomas Lasso made the kick off in the second half. José Augusto Soeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Vonk in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sten Vonk got free with José Augusto Soeiro in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 54 minutes of play, FC Dundee's Toomas Lasso made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Augusto Soeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tom Are took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesinha Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesinha Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Bizard FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Isaltino Seco hit a great ball. Andrus Toiger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Toomas Lasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Augusto Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisão Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th match minute, Bizard FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisão Amorim to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Toomas Lasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Sten Vonk reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Augusto Soeiro. The goal made the score 1-2. The FC Dundee supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Dundee would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
