Gabi Gol started the match with the kick off. Geovanni Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Åberg in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Gabi Gol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Sandberg. Degerfors IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabi Gol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Geovanni Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Åberg in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Kristian Brodin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerfors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristian Brodin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Åberg in the 21st minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Geovanni Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as TAQUARI FC's Zé Paulo de Queiroz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastian Sandberg. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. Degerfors IF's Sebastian Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Gol in the 28th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the game, Luís Fabiano Clemente recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastian Sandberg. Luís Fabiano Clemente showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Christoffersson during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of TAQUARI FC booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Christoffersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience was convinced that Kristian Brodin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni Vides was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. When 武杰弘 fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Degerfors IF's protests and gave 武杰弘 a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. 武杰弘 hit a great ball. Geovanni Vides made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Kristian Brodin sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute, Kristian Brodin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. TAQUARI FC made a substitution. José Carlos Meireles replaced Carlos Eduardo Teixeira. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's Kristian Brodin got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Sebastian Sandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Clemente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Per Åberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Åberg in the 75th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Geovanni Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dé Siqueira made in the 78th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Degerfors IF's Henrik Nordlund. When Henrik Nordlund came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Degerfors IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrik Nordlund couldn't finish the play. Kristian Brodin scored 4-3 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geovanni Vides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, TAQUARI FC's Geovanni Vides got control of the ball when Kristian Brodin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geovanni Vides made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristian Brodin in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Dé Siqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kristian Brodin got free with Geovanni Vides in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geovanni Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Åberg in the 90th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Christoffersson. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TAQUARI FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Degerfors IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
