With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustin Ruberto in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cacá Sousa saved Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ from getting behind. In the 8thth minute of the game Adrianinho de Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dário Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Mauro Cordearo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho de Salles in the 14th minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save SOUTH THUNDER from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute Adrianinho de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute Agustin Ruberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Agustin Ruberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save SOUTH THUNDER from getting a goal against them. Adrianinho de Salles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Mauro Cordearo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mauro Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrianinho de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Agustin Ruberto came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the SOUTH THUNDER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Ruberto couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho de Salles in the 47th minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustin Ruberto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Agustin Ruberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cacá Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Bixintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Sousa having to interfere. Adrianinho de Salles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Cordearo having to make a save. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho de Salles in the 66th minute of play. When Adrianinho de Salles fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's protests and gave Adrianinho de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. SOUTH THUNDER's Ramon Kemen was substituted for Esteban Goiz. Cacá Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Bixintxo in the 73rd minute of play. Cacá Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Bixintxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SOUTH THUNDER's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ulises Gimenez in the 77th minute. Mauro Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after SOUTH THUNDER's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dário Simão took the corner. Edgard Quintan's late challenge caught a Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Quintan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when SOUTH THUNDER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Quintan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho de Salles in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Agustin Ruberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of SOUTH THUNDER booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded SOUTH THUNDER left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ.
