Spectators: 10944 (Terracing: 8244, Seating: 2528, VIP seats: 172) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luciano Baptista started the match with the kick off. A collision led to MUSHIBA FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. José Maria Figueiredo hit a great ball. The supporters of MUSHIBA FC booed when Pragmáticos 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmyr Severo's late challenge caught a MUSHIBA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walmyr Severo helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, MUSHIBA FC's Pedrinho Abraão tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Zé Carlos Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiaguinho Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramón Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. MUSHIBA FC's Pedrinho Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 17 played minutes Pragmáticos 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Vito Furlan. A collision led to MUSHIBA FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Pedrinho Abraão hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Pragmáticos 1903's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Luz came free, but Zé Carlos Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Carlos Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Luz in the 28th minute of the match. After 30 minutes of play, MUSHIBA FC's Luciano Baptista made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Carlos Britto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 36 played minutes MUSHIBA FC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Neiva. After 37 minutes, Thierry Henry made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. MUSHIBA FC's Rômulo Souto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Walmyr Severo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When José Vítor Félix fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pragmáticos 1903's protests and gave José Vítor Félix a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Pragmáticos 1903 got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Félix. In the 45th minute of the match Pedrinho Abraão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Carlos Britto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud Gullit in the 47th minute of play forced MUSHIBA FC's goalkeeper Rômulo Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 56th minute, Ferenc Puskás ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rômulo Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rômulo Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferenc Puskás, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Serafim Ramalho hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. MUSHIBA FC made a substitution. Walmir Silva replaced Tiaguinho Luz. Pragmáticos 1903's Renato de Azevedo was substituted for Vito Furlan. Serafim Ramalho hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 78th match minute, MUSHIBA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Juan de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Pragmáticos 1903's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Matos came free, but Zé Carlos Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th match minute, MUSHIBA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perivaldo Donato to maneuver through the defense. Pragmáticos 1903's Ismael Severo was substituted for Thierry Henry. After 86 played minutes MUSHIBA FC got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Donato. In the 90th minute Toninho Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egídio Custódio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ferenc Puskás, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, MUSHIBA FC's Egídio Custódio got a free kick in the 92nd minute. If Ferenc Puskás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perivaldo Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Zé Carlos Britto made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pragmáticos 1903 had won after a very even match.
