Club Deportivo Diagüita's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorino Peake was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristoforo Morini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Felipe Ancavil couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Rosenborg booed when Club Deportivo Diagüita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaap van Zijp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristoforo Morini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Felipe Ancavil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
