Ciudad de Soria's Wei Chang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sajeev Lam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ramond Landa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sajeev Lam was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Sajeev Lam was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hamir Keng to strike the kick off in the second half. Paul Cacheres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The C.D. Ciudad de Soria fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Ramond Landa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ovidio Zapater replaced Diego Gandia. 71 minutes into the match, Gabriel Redondo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sajeev Lam, 0-13. Teodoro Zamora was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sajeev Lam stood somewhat misplaced when Gabriel Redondo came free in front of goal and shot 0-14 to the left of him in the 81 minute. In the 84th minute Gabriel Redondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sajeev Lam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, one of C.D. Ciudad de Soria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.D. Ciudad de Soria. Olo Kahn had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Shukrie Devan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Gabriel Redondo put it in 0-15 from a short distance just to the right of Sajeev Lam. Sajeev Lam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Redondo in the 90th minute of play. Gabriel Redondos short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Sajeev Lam to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of C.D. Ciudad de Soria booed when Albirex Niigata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shukrie Devan didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Albirex Niigata FC's Sajeev Lam got control of the ball when Gabriel Redondo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute, C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Gabriel Redondo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sajeev Lam. Sajeev Lam yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-16. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
