Ndidi Babatunde's late challenge caught a A A Arizona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ndidi Babatunde helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Ndidi Babatunde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Zoltán Bíró made a huge save. With his leg Zoltán Bíró managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when A A Arizona's Ronaldinho Cruz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gernando dos Santos hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Márton Rigó hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Zoltán Bíró took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Paulo de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. István Szabó fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 胡振鸿 having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Gernando dos Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A A Arizona and the Békéscsaba 1912 Előre SE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, A A Arizona's Gernando dos Santos got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Paiva in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zoltán Bíró prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd minute Géza Csonka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 胡振鸿 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Békéscsaba 1912 Előre SE's Géza Csonka got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronaldinho Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Paiva in the 80th minute of play forced Békéscsaba 1912 Előre SE's goalkeeper Zoltán Bíró to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 胡振鸿 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Géza Csonka in the 85th minute of the match. A A Arizona's 胡振鸿 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Géza Csonka in the 86th minute of play. If Ronaldinho Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Zoltán Bíró tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
