The supporters of JS 22 booed when Pingos Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Tino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Elixio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Batistuta in the 11th minute of play. Pingos Futbol Club's Ivan Galtero got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute Ivan Galtero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Elixio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darío Cvitanich in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gaspar Valery, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gaston Sadurni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Valery having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, JS 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Abar to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jairo Elixio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Pingos Futbol Club's Elvio Batistuta got a free kick in the 54th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darío Cvitanich in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaspar Valery prevented the ball from getting in the gole. JS 22's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Martin Tino scored to the left of an out of position Jairo Elixio, making the score, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Darío Cvitanich's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaspar Valery was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game.
