Célio do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olívio Cerezo in the 7th minute of the match. Zé Veloso was a little too slow when Jacinto Paraíba got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 10th play minute Jacinto Paraíba came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zé Veloso. 3-0. Zé Veloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Coutinho's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Marcelo Coutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Atlético Guidovalense's Zé Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Guidovalense from getting a goal against them. Zé Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Paraíba in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Patrick Neiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Zé Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Atlético Guidovalense's Zé Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas da Silveira in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Cerezo in the 25th minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Célio do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Marcelo Coutinho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Veloso. That made the score 6-0 after 27 minutes of play. In the 31st minute Jacinto Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Atlético Guidovalense's goalkeeper Zé Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Paraíba. In the 39th minute, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Patrick Neiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-0. Atlético Guidovalense's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Marcelo Coutinho scored to the left of an out of position Zé Veloso, making the score, 8-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olívio Cerezo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Olívio Cerezo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Célio do Valle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacinto Paraíba's late challenge caught a Atlético Guidovalense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Paraíba helped the player get up and apologised. When Aílton de Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Guidovalense's protests and gave Aílton de Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlético Guidovalense getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Aílton de Amorim hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Laerte Ramalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. In the 60th minute, Jacinto Paraíba made a precise shot to the right of Zé Veloso. Atlético Guidovalense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. After 63 played minutes Atlético Guidovalense got a freekick which was hit by Zé Cardozo. Zé Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Aílton Cearense was substituted for Laerte Ramalho. Zé Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Neiva in the 72nd minute of play. Marcelo Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Veloso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atlético Guidovalense's Willian Pena got a free kick in the 75th minute. Jarbas da Silveira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Jacinto Paraíba made a precise shot to the right of Zé Veloso. Atlético Guidovalense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. 81 minutes into the game, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Jacinto Paraíba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. A collision led to Atlético Guidovalense getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bebeto Andrade hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Jacinto Paraíba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Veloso. Atlético Guidovalense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Paraíba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. 95 minutes into the match, Atlético Guidovalense's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton Cearense came free, but Zé Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Xapetuba Futebol Clube had played much better football throughout.
