He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Bestone 716 reached it. Alexander Tan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, one of Albirex Niigata FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Albirex Niigata FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afriz Hian was the one to do the kick off. If Engkos Sahilatua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albirex Niigata FC's Sajeev Lam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wahyu Papara in the 59th minute of play. After 67 played minutes FC Bestone 716 got a freekick which was hit by Wahyu Papara. 70 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Igus Lisandri came free, but Sajeev Lam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wahyu Papara might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sajeev Lam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Engkos Sahilatua struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Sajeev Lam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bestone 716. Sajeev Lam came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bestone 716's Darius Syamsuddn. But to his dismay, Darius Syamsuddn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Engkos Sahilatua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Wahyu Papara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sajeev Lam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Bestone 716's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
