Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 7th minute, Fred Valencia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Felipe Sousa hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Vasco FC's Leopoldo Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Valencia in the 17th minute of play. Fred Valencia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Leopoldo Rezende when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Valencia. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Vasco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Percival Campidelis took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Percival Campidelis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leopoldo Rezende quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 25 minutes into the match, Fred Valencia notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Vasco FC's Leopoldo Rezende. Leopoldo Rezende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot 29 in the game by Fred Valencia from a close distance when the talented Leopoldo Rezende managed to make a qualified save. Vasco FC's players were relieved. Leopoldo Rezende was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felipe Sousa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 31 minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Valencia. In the 43rd minute, one of Vasco FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vasco FC. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Leopoldo Rezende. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Alisson Goycochea got control of the ball when Gil Motta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fred Valencia took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Rezende. Leopoldo Rezende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Valencia in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Rezende saved Vasco FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Fred Valencia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo Rezende was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Fred Valencia sped through Vasco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leopoldo Rezende. Felipe Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Leopoldo Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA defense, Gil Motta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alisson Goycochea. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alisson Goycochea should have stopped the shot. Leopoldo Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Valencia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luan Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Percival Campidelis came free in the 73rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Leopoldo Rezende, but to the joy of Vasco FC's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Valencia in the 76th minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Fred Valencia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. After 82 minutes, Fred Valencia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA and the Vasco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute Fred Valencia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vasco FC's Lucas Velloso got a free kick in the 88th minute. Leopoldo Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fred Valencia in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Rezende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
