Armando Amarita didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Toro Martínez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Despidida AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Toro Martínez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mano Hume breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Despidida AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Toro Martínez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Despidida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute, Severo Bermudo made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Selatse. Despidida AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Bermudo came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes Despidida AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Armando Amarita who took care of the corner kick. The Utopía Muerta FC fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Utopía Muerta FC's Severo Bermudo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 32 minutes of play, Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mano Hume was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 42 played minutes Utopía Muerta FC got a freekick which was hit by Alp Kaya. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toro Martínez was the one to do the kick off. Utopía Muerta FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Arturo Arano scored to the left of an out of position Mano Hume, making the score, 2-3. When Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Velasco in the 76th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Despidida AFC's Czeslaw Kopacz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mano Hume. That made the score 3-4 after 80 minutes of play. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Furtado in the 83rd minute of play. Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Utopía Muerta FC from getting a goal against them. Despidida AFC were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Utopía Muerta FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emanuel Lucila took the corner. After taking down the ball on Despidida AFC's corner Emanuel Lucila fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mano Hume quite easily take care of the ball. Mano Hume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Kopacz in the 92nd minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Kopacz came free, but Mano Hume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Michael Corleone threw the ball into play from the sideline. Utopía Muerta FC's David Brás quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ramón Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Szymon Pyrzyce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mano Hume having to interfere. The Despidida AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Despidida AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
