When Serafim de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Atlanta United F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafim de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Serafim de Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Oihan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Atlanta United F.C. booed when Vamos los PIBES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Steven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Oihan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Candido Cheche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Mané França made a huge save. Joaquim Proença charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Proença the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 16 minutes into the game, Jimeno Cordaro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mané França. Jimeno Cordaro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 21st minute of the match, Candido Cheche got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mané França was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Clóvis Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlanta United F.C.'s protests and gave Clóvis Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. Clóvis Ferraz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Atlanta United F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Aquilino Txanton scored to the left of an out of position Mané França, making the score, 2-0. Mané França made an important save on a dangerous shot by Candido Cheche in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 51st minute Hipolito Pacifico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mané França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Pacifico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mané França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Txanton, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Eustaquio Columbo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aquilino Txanton was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 73rd minute, Candido Cheche left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vamos los PIBES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Candido Cheche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute Aquilino Txanton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Cheche in the 82nd minute of play forced Atlanta United F.C.'s goalkeeper Mané França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
