Váldson Barreto charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Váldson Barreto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sandinense ADF getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Váldson Barreto hit a great ball. The supporters of Alex Team booed when Sandinense ADF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sandinense ADF's zone, Clodoveo Hanot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Terra came out of the goal and Clodoveo Hanot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yuri Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero da Costa in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sandinense ADF's Ediberto Paraense got a free kick in the 25th minute. Cícero da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Terra having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Alex Team's Cícero da Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yuri Terra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Cícero da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Hanot, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute, Cícero da Costa made a precise shot to the right of Yuri Terra. Sandinense ADF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With his leg Yuri Terra managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Alex Team's Clodoveo Hanot fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cícero da Costa got free with Yuri Terra in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cícero da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Hanot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fedele Cardella's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yuri Terra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sandinense ADF defense, Cícero da Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yuri Terra. The Sandinense ADF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yuri Terra should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Fedele Cardella dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yuri Terra, 0-4. Clodoveo Hanot succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. Sandinense ADF's Yuri Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Hanot in the 79th minute of play. Sandinense ADF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Cícero da Costa scored to the left of an out of position Yuri Terra, making the score, 0-6. Yuri Terra came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Alex Team's Cícero da Costa. But to his dismay, Cícero da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Alex Team's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
