The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Luan Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

S.E.R Corujão's Waldir Gaúcho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R Corujão from getting a goal against them. Afonso de Medeiros hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Paulo José Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E.R Corujão's protests and gave Paulo José Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo José Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Luan Custódio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
