Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wes Lieckens started the match with the kick off. Sergio Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wang Fei Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Sergio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wang Fei Xing in the 13th minute of play. Sporting de Gijón's Sergio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wang Fei Xing in the 17th minute of play. If Wang Fei Xing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wang Fei Xing came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Vila Industrial FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wang Fei Xing couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Vila Industrial FC's Rony Zanette got control of the ball when Wes Lieckens tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Vila Industrial FC booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Bixintxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting de Gijón's zone, Wang Fei Xing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Romero came out of the goal and Wang Fei Xing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sporting de Gijón's Sergio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wang Fei Xing in the 36th minute of play. After 39 played minutes Vila Industrial FC got a freekick which was hit by Wang Fei Xing. Wang Fei Xing's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergio Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Wang Fei Xing came free, but Sergio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Wang Fei Xing kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergio Romero. That made the score 0-1 in the 54 minute of play. In the 57th minute, Wang Fei Xing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vila Industrial FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Sporting de Gijón's Celestino Illart was substituted for Pascual Tipi. Sergio Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wang Fei Xing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elpidio Bixintxo took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rony Zanette. Rony Zanette dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Vila Industrial FC's Délio Moura was substituted for Wang Fei Xing. Vila Industrial FC made a substitution. João Francisco Silveira replaced Jarvis Cock. After 68 minutes of play, Vila Industrial FC's Délio Moura made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergio Romero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rony Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Bixintxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Sergio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Moura in the 78th minute of play. Vila Industrial FC's Manoel Couto was substituted for Paulinho de Queiroz. A sloppy throw-in by Jonathan Gaitan in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vila Industrial FC's Roberto Cibran. In the 82nd minute, Jonathan Gaitan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Délio Moura scored 1-5 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergio Romero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sergio Romero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Délio Moura showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 96 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Vila Industrial FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting de Gijón.
