With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matías Recife in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeferson Fantini saved Antropofagia FC from getting behind. David Simões's late challenge caught a Cruz de Malta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Simões helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Antropofagia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Simões to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Antropofagia FC's zone, Matías Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeferson Fantini came out of the goal and Matías Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Matías Recife who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Antropofagia FC's Jeferson Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeferson Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Romário Grealish hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Antropofagia FC's Jeferson Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Recife in the 20th minute of play. Clóvis Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Simões got his second yellow card in the match during the 26th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. David Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match Gilmar Tróia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeferson Fantini skillfully saved the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Mathias Hermes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeferson Fantini showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Cruz de Malta FC booed when Antropofagia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes Cruz de Malta FC got a freekick which was hit by Oséas Bastos. Waldemar Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Arlindo Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Antropofagia FC's Jeferson Fantini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Antropofagia FC from getting a goal against them. Jeferson Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Tróia in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Matías Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredão Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Cruz de Malta FC's Mathias Hermes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Antropofagia FC. In the 72nd minute of the match Mathias Hermes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeferson Fantini skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot 72 in the game by Matías Recife from a close distance when the talented Jeferson Fantini managed to make a qualified save. Antropofagia FC's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Recife in the 73rd minute of play forced Antropofagia FC's goalkeeper Jeferson Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeferson Fantini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Salgado went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Antropofagia FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Arlindo Palmeira hit a great ball. Alan Brodel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matías Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Antropofagia FC's Matheus Faria got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Recife in the 93rd minute of play forced Antropofagia FC's goalkeeper Jeferson Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cruz de Malta FC played a much better game than Antropofagia FC and deserved their victory. The Antropofagia FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
