But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Velloso couldn't finish the play. After 70 played minutes Carrapichel - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Beto Cavalcante. Carrapichel - FDFDF's Edson Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Reis in the 71st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Flávio Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edson Bertassi was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Sebastião Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastião Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sipo EC's Sebastião Mendonça got a free kick in the 76th minute. Acácio Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Gaspar having to interfere. If Abel de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when Carrapichel - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Váldson Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Edson Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Váldson Alagoano fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrapichel - FDFDF's protests and gave Váldson Alagoano a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Edson Bertassi, was totally fooled by Sipo EC's Igor Linares, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Sipo EC played a much better game than Carrapichel - FDFDF and deserved their victory. The Carrapichel - FDFDF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
