The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The corner ended in Victoriano Sierra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Khachatryan's Levon Sarkisyan did a great save. Nicolás Villamil made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Jarvis Cormier sent off a good shot on target. Levon Sarkisyan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daud Gazale in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Khachatryan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victoriano Sierra was slow to take the kick. During this time CSD Concepción's players had a chance to rest. Levon Sarkisyan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daud Gazale went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Lacunza in the 23rd minute of play forced Khachatryan's goalkeeper Levon Sarkisyan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Daud Gazale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levon Sarkisyan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Avetisyan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Nicolás Villamil made a huge save.
