Eurico Figueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puerto de Sagunto CF. Eurico Figueira was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Joachim Zaplana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joachim Zaplana really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some careless play in the Puerto de Sagunto CF defense, Filipe Quinaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Garaona Camino. The Puerto de Sagunto CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Garaona Camino should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute Adolfo Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garaona Camino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Telesforo De Paula cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Eurico Figueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 27 played minutes Puerto de Sagunto CF got a freekick which was hit by Zahar Ucero. Telesforo De Paula charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Telesforo De Paula the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Garaona Camino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Aguas in the 31st minute of the match. Eurico Figueira made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Telesforo De Paula sent off a good shot on target. Tito Marrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Rui Aguas got a free kick in the 45th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Telesforo De Paula got free with Eurico Figueira in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 48 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Eurico Figueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tito Marrero. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Telesforo De Paula made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Tito Marrero came free, but Eurico Figueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telesforo De Paula in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico Figueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute, Filipe Quinaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 60 minutes into the game, when Epifanio Pascua put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, Gremio Viana's Porfirio Bomba got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Garaona Camino. Eurico Figueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tito Marrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tito Marrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Puerto de Sagunto CF's Ekaitz Jorquera got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Valdo Valerón charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdo Valerón the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Puerto de Sagunto CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Valerón to maneuver through the defense. When Filipe Quinaz fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gremio Viana's protests and gave Filipe Quinaz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Filipe Quinaz got a free kick in the 76th minute. A collision led to Gremio Viana getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Dércio Calado hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Rui Aguas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Garaona Camino. That made the score 2-3 in the 86 minute of play. Adolfo Pires hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Tito Marrero hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Gremio Viana left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Puerto de Sagunto CF.
