The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Ruy got free with Leonides Lugo in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Showtime FC's Leonides Lugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Ruy in the 12th minute of play. Leonides Lugo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The supporters of Showtime FC booed when TILCARA F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Restu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Showtime FC's Leonides Lugo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Showtime FC from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute Eloy Jerrold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Lugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Eloy Jerrold cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Leonides Lugo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Melquiades Sanduru came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Showtime FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Sanduru couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Showtime FC's Ruperto Jerrald got a free kick in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Showtime FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Jerrold came free, but Leonides Lugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Showtime FC's Leonides Lugo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Showtime FC from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute, Generoso Aragones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. TILCARA F C's Mario Restu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Leonides Lugo but with some difficulty. Conrado Lonzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Sanduru in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, TILCARA F C's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Sanduru came free, but Conrado Lonzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Showtime FC's Leonides Lugo got control of the ball when Santiago Ruy tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of TILCARA F C booed when Showtime FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Naldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Lugo made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Santiago Ruy sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santiago Ruy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, TILCARA F C's Sixto Hats nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonides Lugo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 58th minute of the match, Freddy Bernal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Conrado Lonzo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Conrado Lonzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Sanduru in the 60th minute of play. Leonides Lugo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Hats in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Santiago Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Lugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carolo Naldo charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carolo Naldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Showtime FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Carolo Naldo hit a great ball. Leonides Lugo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Jeraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Sixto Hats notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Showtime FC's Leonides Lugo. Leonides Lugo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Baraquiel in the 77th minute of play forced Showtime FC's goalkeeper Leonides Lugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Hats in the 83rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Santiago Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Lugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Eloy Jerrold left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TILCARA F C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Showtime FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
