Carlos Rik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Malvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Arnoldo Llorian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonas Stanislao was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, FC Necaxa's Clodoveo Jokin got a free kick in the 98th minute. FC Necaxa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
