The supporters of Jacareipe booed when Marvao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caetano Cordeiro, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Tiago Gabriel Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Jacareipe's Edson Borges got a free kick in the 28th minute. João Francisco Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 36 played minutes Marvao got a freekick which was hit by Manoel Senna. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-2 when João Francisco Brodel sped through Marvao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dalmo Vidal. João Francisco Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Vidal having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Márcio Brito notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Marvao's Dalmo Vidal. Dalmo Vidal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Gabriel Abreu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Márcio Brito reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dalmo Vidal. The goal made the score 0-4. With an all-out effort, Jacareipe's Dalmo Vidal threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Márcio Brito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 69 minutes into the match, Marvao's goalkeeper Dalmo Vidal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Márcio Brito. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Francisco Brodel got free with Dalmo Vidal in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zacarias Andrade's late challenge caught a Jacareipe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zacarias Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Zacarias Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacareipe's Márcio Brito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dalmo Vidal. That made the score 0-6 after 87 minutes of play. In the 89th match minute, Jacareipe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Túlio Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Dagoberto Batista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Téo Paes's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Márcio Brito fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dalmo Vidal, passed just outside the right post. Jacareipe's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
