The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dadá de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Nicolas Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Abreus EC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Cauã Luz hit a great ball. Maurinho de Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maurinho de Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cauã Luz during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes Abreus EC got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Luz. Dadá de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Dadá de Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rubiataba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Abreus EC's Gabriel Veiga got a free kick in the 16th minute. Rubiataba's Valdemar Paranaense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Rubiataba from getting a goal against them. After 21 played minutes Rubiataba got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Vidal. Dadá de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benê Marinho during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rubiataba getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Benê Marinho hit a great ball. During the 31st minute of the match Benê Marinho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benê Marinho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 32nd minute, Benê Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Abreus EC's Rodolfo Severo tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Abreus EC booed when Rubiataba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dadá de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Rodolfo Severo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rubiataba's Valdemar Paranaense didn't even have to move. In the 37th match minute, Rubiataba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Castro to maneuver through the defense. Maurinho de Lima struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Nicolas Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rubiataba. The supporters of Rubiataba booed when Abreus EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauã Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlinhos Castro hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Valdemar Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Hoffmann in the 45th minute of the match. The Abreus EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rubiataba were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurinho de Lima made a kick off. Carlinhos Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolas Saldanha having to make a save. Maurinho de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Saldanha having to interfere. When Maurinho de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Rubiataba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho de Lima couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Maurinho de Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Maurinho de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Rubiataba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho de Lima couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Maurinho de Lima made a precise shot to the right of Nicolas Saldanha. Abreus EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After 76 minutes of play, Rubiataba's Maurinho de Lima made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolas Saldanha was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Maurinho de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes into the match, Rubiataba's Maurinho de Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolas Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicolas Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho de Lima in the 85th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Maurinho de Lima took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Nicolas Saldanha to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Abreus EC's zone, Dadá de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Saldanha came out of the goal and Dadá de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurinho de Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurinho de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
